We had a great week over here at the Olson house. Matt's been on vacation from work all week, so we've really been living it up: date night on Tuesday, Tosa Tonight concert on Wednesday, Jazz in the Park on Thursday. I'm feeling pretty wiped today and am looking forward to hitting the sack as soon as I publish this post.
Tomorrow, Callum has his first day of this season's swim class and we have my company picnic at the zoo. Sunday, we'll spend Father's Day doing whatever Matt wants to do all day. I have a special dinner menu planned featuring some of Matt's favorites: ribs, corn on the cob, French fries, and dirt cake.
To kick it all off, here's what I can't get enough of this week.
1. In celebration of Father's Day this weekend, I've gotta give a shout out to this guy. He's a favorite everyday. Love you forever, Matt!
2. With all the rain we've had this week, my basil has really taken off. Bring on basil everything! I made these caprese skewers yesterday and they were so delicious. Is there really anything better than fresh mozzarella, basil, and sweet cherry tomatoes? Plus, they are probably one of the easiest things in the world to make. Callum wasn't a fan, which is totally fine. More for me.
3. This next favorite also happens to be food related. Don't judge.
On Tuesday's date night, Matt and I checked out a new chocolatier/ice cream parlor, Indulgence, that just opened in our neighborhood. I had a scoop of Purple Door's Whiskey flavored ice cream.
You guys. It was beyond. It was so carmel-y and creamy. I have a feeling we'll need to increase this summer's ice cream budget. By a lot.

4. A friend posted this video on Facebook last week and I've watched it at least once every day sense. I can not get enough.
Watch. Dance. Enjoy.
5. And finally, I just have to give a big ol' virtual hug to everyone out there reading this blog. I've always wanted to become a more active blogger, but was always a little nervous about what others would think. I thought people would find me ridiculous and wouldn't care what I had to say.
I ultimately decided that if someone didn't like me or didn't want to read my posts, than they just wouldn't follow along. And, now, I'm ok with that.
So far, I've received an amazing amount of love and support from everyone out there, and I appreciate it more than you'll ever know. Thanks for joining me on this journey! I'm so glad we're all friends.
